Mental Health Therapist

Flawsome Counseling LLC is a growing private practice in Ankeny, Iowa, dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality mental health care to children, teens, adults, couples, and families. We are seeking a licensed mental health therapist to join our team as an independent contractor. This position offers the freedom and flexibility to build a caseload that aligns with your professional interests, expertise, and personal schedule.

Position Overview

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist with Flawsome Counseling, you will provide therapeutic services to a diverse client population while enjoying the autonomy to manage your own schedule and caseload. Therapists have the opportunity to conduct clinical assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based therapy services in a supportive private practice setting.

This role is ideal for clinicians seeking independence, flexibility, and a collaborative practice environment without productivity quotas or mandated scheduling requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, couples, and/or family therapy services utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and establish appropriate diagnoses.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that support client goals.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and ethical clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans.
• Communicate professionally with clients, referral sources, and other healthcare providers as clinically appropriate.
• Adhere to all professional, ethical, and legal standards of practice.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and consultation opportunities.

Compensation & Schedule

This position is structured as a 1099 Independent Contractor role.

Compensation is based on a competitive percentage of collected billable services, with opportunities for increased earnings as your caseload grows.

Qualifications

• Active Iowa license as an LISW, LMHC, or LMFT in good standing.
• Experience providing therapy services to individuals, couples, and/or families.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of ethical standards and clinical documentation requirements.
• Commitment to providing high-quality, client-centered care.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
