Midwest Wellness Institute(MWI) is an outpatient, multidisciplinary group practice with an office in West Des Moines. We provide general psychotherapy and psychological testing services, medication management services, interventional psychiatric services such as Spravato and TMS, and Substance Abuse/Addiction Services in conjunction with MAT services.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough intake assessments utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately diagnose mental health conditions
- Deliver individual and group therapy sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure patient safety during emergencies
- Provide specialized counseling for child & family dynamics, gender issues, grief, PTSD care, addiction recovery, and chronic pain management
- Collaborate with medical professionals to integrate psychopharmacology considerations into treatment plans while maintaining HIPAA compliance and accurate medical documentation
- Engage in clinical research initiatives to enhance therapeutic approaches and contribute to data collection efforts for continuous improvement
- Utilize telehealth experience to deliver remote counseling sessions effectively across diverse geographic locations
Experience
- Must be a fully licensed mental health therapist in Iowa
- LISW, LMHC, LMFT
- Must maintain knowledge of the latest treatment modalities and Evidenced-Based Models.

Pay: $73,977.66 - $89,091.38 per year
