Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage comprehensive accounting functions for our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a solid understanding of both corporate and non-profit accounting practices. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in supporting our financial health through precise bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial analysis. FlatRate’s Headquarters office is located in the South of Bronx (One stop from Manhattan on the 6 train). Key Tasks and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):Obtain primary financial data for accounting recordsCompute and record numerical dataCheck the accuracy of business transactionsPerform data entry and administrative dutiesReview, enter and process invoicesMatch purchase orders with invoicesProcess daily charges of storage and moving customersVerify validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating informationPerform daily cash management transactions in QuickBooksMaintain petty cash accounts and log all outgoing disbursementsProcess accounts receivable, payable & payrollMaintain orderly accounting filing systemComply with local, state and federal government reporting requirementsProtect organizations’ value by keeping information confidential Requirements:Proven Bookkeeping experience3 years’ experience in accounting, finance or other related fieldsBachelor’s Degree or EquivalentProficiency in Microsoft Excel & QuickBooksExperience in accounts receivable, payable & payroll processingFundamental knowledge of GAAPProven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial recordsHands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary softwareAbility to multi task and work well under pressureDeadline and detail-orientedCompany DescriptionFounded in 1991, FlatRate Moving® introduced a novel concept - offering the highest levels of customer experience for an all-inclusive and unwavering Guaranteed Price.
