Director, Information Technology and Business Systems
Department: Information Technology
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location: RK Supply – Odessa, Tx
Position Summary:
The Director of Information Technology and Business Systems oversees all technology initiatives for RK Supply, including computer hardware and connectivity, integration of various enterprise systems and key supporting platforms, and data warehouse development and accuracy. This position plays a key leadership role in developing and maintaining RK Supply’s technological vision and leadership over business process improvements, data visibility/integrity and business scalability.
Key responsibilities
- Strategic planning: Develop, implement, and oversee the organization's IT strategy, ensuring it aligns with business goals.
- Team management: Lead, mentor, and manage the IT department staff, including hiring and performance evaluation.
- Infrastructure and operations: Manage and maintain all IT infrastructure, including networks, hardware, software, and applications.
- Budgeting and financial management: Create and manage the IT budget, including forecasting technology needs and reporting on IT costs.
- Security and compliance: Ensure data integrity and cybersecurity by identifying risks, implementing security measures, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Vendor and relationship management: Manage relationships with external IT vendors and advisors.
- Project management: Oversee the lifecycle of new IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Disaster recovery: Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Technical support: Ensure timely resolution of technical support issues and manage help desk operations.
Key skills and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field like computer science or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in IT and software development/integration, including management experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Expertise in managing IT infrastructure, security, and large-scale projects.
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on operational oversight.
