Our Lakeland, Florida team has an opening for a Production Planner!The Production Planner will develop, evaluate, monitor, and maintain the production schedule in an efficient and effective operation of material flow within the department(s) to ensure on-time delivery and quality of materials.
Primary Duties
- Create the production schedule utilizing the ERP system and the variables involved,including equipment capacity, and staffing availability / capacity. Deliver information to necessary parties.
- Create Bill of Manufacturing and Bill of Materials.
- Estimate and coordinate the amount of material, equipment and labor required forproduction.
- Issue Purchase Requisitions for materials.
- Utilize ERP system to process work.
- Create and run reports as needed.
- Interpret drawings and specifications.
- Communicate issues or constraints to develop a solution.
- Promptly inform relevant departments of changes to current schedules.
- Maintain current knowledge on materials, technology, and processes.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment at all times.
- Provide outstanding customer service.
- Perform work according to established company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as requested.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree in business, supplychain, logistics or other related field is preferred, but not required.
- Five years of production scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment
- CPIM Certification (preferred)
- Excellent leading, interpersonal, planning, organizing, and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with an ERP system, Microsoft Office, and scheduling software
- Experience with Lean concepts and methodologies
- Ability to interpret and diagnose problems, accumulate significant data, seekcontributions, sort data, and initiate actions to prevent or overcome problems
- Ability to readily observe and define processes to generate ideas for improvements,to develop operating plans, and to operate to maximum efficiency and effectiveness
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
