Garage Door Service Manager / Lead Technician

We fix and install garage doors and openers, commercial doors (rolling steel, sectionals, dock equipment, hangar doors), and driveway gates and gate openers across eight Central Texas counties out of Marble Falls. Better. Faster. Humble.

THE JOB

You run service. You manage our technicians (3–5) from day one and call the shots on how the work gets done, working alongside sales and the office. You still turn wrenches: expect to be in a truck most days. This seat is expected to produce $400,000 a year in service revenue.

THE MONEY

$55,000 salary floor, plus commission. If you're working, expect $100,000 to $110,000 a year.

After your first year, if you've hit the quality and profitability marks, you'll have the opportunity to buy into the company.

THE WEEK

Monday through Friday, plus a rotating Saturday half-day shared with the other techs. Everybody, the owner included, takes one weekend in rotation for after-hours emergency calls. Company truck goes home with you at night.

We supply the tools, the phone and the uniforms.

WHAT WE EXPECT

Awesome people do awesome things, men and women both. They show up on time. They stock their trucks. They call the customer before they roll and call again when the job's done. They collect at the job. They want to do good work, and they're looking to grow into managers, directors and owners. We will always support that.

Mistakes happen. Sometimes they cost us money. That's no big deal. Laziness is. Mediocrity doesn't last here.

YOU NEED

• 4 years of hands-on garage door and/or gate experience we can verify by calling your previous employers
• Valid driver's license and a record our commercial auto insurer will accept: no DUI/DWI in the past 10 years, no more than the occasional ticket
• Willing to complete a background check; we do random and post-accident drug screening
• Able to lift 100 lb, work on ladders and work outdoors in Texas heat, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Willing to do a hands-on skills test on a real door and let us call your last two employers

A PLUS

• Gate and gate-opener experience (LiftMaster, US Automatic, Apollo), telephone entry (CellGate, myQ)
• Rolling steel, commercial sectional, dock equipment or hangar door experience
• IDEA certifications
• Spanish
• Already living in or around the Highland Lakes
• Comfortable with field-service software (we run Service Fusion)
• You've personally done $400K a year and can show it

NO EXPERIENCE?

This seat requires 4 years we can verify. If you don't have that and want into the trade anyway, you can apply as a trainee. Training pay starts at $350 a week. Put "Trainee" in your subject line so we know which job you're asking about.
