We operate in a relationship-driven business where trust, responsiveness, and clarity matter as much as technical accuracy.We’re hiring a Client & Sales Manager to own revenue generation at the front end of the business: managing incoming leads, closing sales, and proactively supporting business development.This role blends sales judgment, estimating, client management, and light business development. It is not only an estimator role, nor is it a standalone business development position.Role OverviewThe Client & Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue through a mix of reactive sales (handling inbound leads, quoting, and closing) and proactive outreach (identifying new opportunities, partnerships, and referral sources).You will be the primary point of contact for prospective clients and a key contributor to company growth, both by converting existing demand and helping create new demand when capacity allows.Core ResponsibilitiesClient & Sales ManagementOwn the front-end sales process from initial inquiry through quote approvalManage inbound leads via phone, email, and CRMConduct virtual and occasional in-person project assessments (primarily Chicago)Develop clear, accurate scopes of work & quotes in collaboration with internal teamCommunicate scope, pricing logic, and expectations clearly with clientsFollow up consistently to move opportunities toward approvalMaintain organized records of leads, quotes, and client communicationCoordinate clean handoff from sales to scheduling/project executionBusiness Development & Revenue GrowthMaintain awareness of lead volume, pipeline health, and seasonal slowdownsDuring slower periods, shift focus toward proactive revenue/ lead generationAttend occasional networking, industry, or referral-based eventsIdentify and pursue relationship-based opportunities (e.g. real estate, property management, local businesses/ adjacent trades)Experiment with and propose new outreach or lead-generation ideasAct as a brand representative in professional settings when appropriateWhat This Role Is (and Isn’t)This role IS:Revenue-focused & initiative-drivenClient-facing & relationship-basedA mix of sales execution and proactive opportunity creationJudgment-heavy, not scriptedThis role is NOT:A pure estimator positionA cold-call-heavy sales roleA full-time business development or marketing roleManaging a sales teamQualifications Experience in sales, client management, estimating, or business development within home services, construction, or related industriesStrong written & verbal communication skillsComfort discussing scope, pricing, and timelines with clientsOrganized, proactive, and able to manage multiple opportunities at onceFamiliarity with CRM systems & quoting toolsValid driver’s license & ability to attend occasional site visitsSelf-directed with an understanding that revenue ownership includes initiativeCompensation & BenefitsBase Salary Performance-Based CommissionPay Commensurate with Experience (Target ~ $70,000 /year total)Two Weeks Paid Vacation ( Sick Time)Health Insurance OptionsHybrid Remote/ In-Person RoleSmall, Collaborative Team with Autonomy & Real InputLocationChicago, ILHybrid Remote with In-Person Assessments & Events as Needed
