Machine Wiring Technician
Fives Group is looking for a Machine Wiring Technician in the Fond du Lac, WI area. Accountability:
This position is responsible for wiring, troubleshooting and altering electrical components on simple to complex machines.
Scope and Responsibilities:
- Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
- Work using safe procedures and practices: report any unsafe or hazardous conditions to supervision.
- Read and interprets electrical control circuits from wiring diagrams, wire lists and connection tables.
- Plan work sequence on each assignment including conduit runs, terminal box locations, conduit supports, wire lengths and wire sizes.
- Make up proper length electrical wiring cables, bundles, labels and assemblies of connectors.
- Wire simple and complex machines.
- Wire, alter, and troubleshoot electrical and electronic circuits and devices used to control complex machine tools.
- Find errors and/or omissions on wiring diagrams and reports them to supervision or the change request system.
- Verify final work is accurate and complete.
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Experience:
- 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skills:
- Ability to effectively communicate – both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of safe work practices working with electrical components, material handling equipment, and machine/equipment operation.
- Ability to read and interpret bills of material, assembly drawings, electrical control circuits, wiring diagrams.
- Clear understanding of electrical assembly concepts; symbols and codes.
- Knowledge of test equipment such as test meters, test lights, volt-ohm meter, etc.
