Five Star Mechanical, Inc. is seeking a skilled and dependable Commercial Cooking Equipment Service Technician (Hot Side Refrigeration) to join our growing team. What you’ll do:
- Diagnose, service, and repair commercial cooking equipment (restaurants, kitchens, institutions).
- Troubleshoot gas, electric, steam, and controls issues.
- Perform PMs, calibrations, safety checks, and emergency service calls.
- Document repairs, parts used, and recommended upgrades; communicate professionally with kitchen managers and owners.
Equipment you may work on:
- Fryers, griddles, ranges, ovens, combi ovens (if experienced)
- Steamers, hot holding equipment, warmers
- Dishwashers (commercial), boosters (where applicable)
- Walk-ins, prep tables, ice machines (refrigeration experience is required)
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license clean driving record (required, non-negotiable)
- 3 years commercial kitchen equipment service experience preferred
- Strong gas/electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to be on-call per rotation
- Comfort working in fast-paced kitchen environments and after-hours windows
- ServiceTitan experience is a plus, but not required
- Flexibility with daily start times (including 5AM, 6AM, 7AM starts)
- Flexibility with schedule overall
