About the Role


Five Star Breaktime Solutions is a premier provider of away-from-home convenience services, delivering exceptional dining and breaktime solutions to our customers. We are seeking a Regional Dining Support Manager to provide operational leadership, unit coverage, and strategic support across multiple dining service locations.


The Dining Support Manager will provide short-term management coverage during manager absences or vacancies, ensuring continuity of operations and adherence to company standards. Outside of coverage assignments, the Support Manager will partner with Regional Directors to implement initiatives that drive operational excellence, improve customer experience, and support growth across the Dining division.


Compensation: Salary monthly vehicle allowance annual vehicle maintenance allowance (up to $3,200) performance-based bonus


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide short-term management coverage for dining units during vacations or vacancies, performing all responsibilities typically assigned to a Dining Manager.
  • Collaborate with Regional Directors to implement strategic dining initiatives, including menu enhancements, promotions, training programs, and marketing efforts.
  • Conduct operational audits of dining units, reporting findings and recommending corrective actions.
  • Support the execution of special events, including new unit openings, catering functions, company meetings, and charity events.
  • Assist in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and mentoring new Dining Managers.
  • Monitor and enforce sanitation and food safety practices in compliance with company standards and local health codes.
  • Maintain ServSafe certification and ensure staff compliance.
  • Provide accurate financial reporting to Regional Directors and ensure timely submission of unit financial data.
  • Promote and maintain strong client relationships through excellent service and communication.
  • Ensure dining teams deliver outstanding customer service, fostering a culture of friendliness and positivity.
  • Carry out managerial responsibilities, including hiring, performance management, training, and employee relations, in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned by management.

Education, Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or a Culinary degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience in the foodservice industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, quality standards, and operational practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with proven results in employee training and development.
  • Ability to organize, manage, and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and acting on financial statements to meet performance goals.
  • Strong customer focus with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Problem-solving ability at both functional and strategic levels.
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite and related systems).

  • Ability to travel heavily and work flexible schedules as required.
