Head Start Education and Disabilities Coordinator
POSITION SUMMARY:Head Start Education/Disabilities Coordinator is responsible for planning and administering program services for children and families. Services must be coordinated with staff in other program content areas and must include ongoing assessments of the quality of services provided.
LOCATION; Central office at Rio Rancho
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Reviews weekly lesson plans, monitor children's assessment, provides assistance to teaching staff regarding reporting and lesson plan development. Provide information to Head Start staff and families related to early childhood education and program educational objectives.
Provides training and technical assistance of Head Start classrooms and program staff.
Qualifications
Ability to work as a team member. Effective communication skills. Ability to read aggregate and analyze data. Use basic math skills. Knowledge of child development, adult learning and classroom facilitation and learning. Strong desire to succeed, patient, kind, creative, resourceful and strong problem resolution skills.
Education
BA or advanced degree in early childhood education or BA or advanced degree and coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education. 3 Years experience in early childhood education or instructional support.
