Trust Operations Specialist
This position handles the administrative and operational aspects of trust accounts. Ensuring smooth actuate processing of trust client information and documents. This includes processing transactions, maintain accurate records and adhering to legal and regulatory requirements. Individual will work closely with trust officers and other financial professionals to meet clients needs and achieve trust objective.
Essential Functions:
- Process all operational receipts/deposits/payments and requests
- Initiate and/or approve ACH, account distributions and wire transfers
- Posting and balancing to accounts
- Follow up on all account, disbursements, deposits, and dividends
- Balancing/settlement of customer accounts and settlement accounts
- Process of IRA, RMD calculations and tax forms
- Production and submission of 1099’s and other tax documents
Knowledge & Experience:
- Account Administration experience with
- opening, closing and managing trust accounts
- handling deposits, withdrawals, taxes and other transactions
- Record Keeping – 3 to 5 years
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Premier
- Experience in working in accounting/financial institution – 3 to 5 years
- General office skills; telephone, calculator, copy machine, fax, scanner, printer, etc.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy are essential
- Time Management and Prioritization skills
- Effective communication skills; written and verbal
Education/Training:
Three years banking or accounting experience required. General trust knowledge helpful.
Status/Standard Schedule: Hourly full time position Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
