A leading food and beverage manufacturer is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support plant operations and promote a proactive safety culture. This role partners closely with plant leadership to identify and eliminate hazards, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster continuous improvement in safety performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing, revising, and implementing safety programs to meet regulatory standards
- Collaborate with operations and plant functions to assess and improve work practices
- Lead incident reporting and investigation processes, including root cause analysis and corrective action tracking
- Develop and deliver monthly safety training for all associates
- Conduct specialized safety training and evaluate its effectiveness
- Perform routine audits and inspections to ensure compliance with internal and external safety standards
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in safety or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing setting (assembly/machine shop experience a plus)
- Supervisory experience in a high-volume, fast-paced facility
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
- CPE, CSP, or CIH certification a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments to drive safety initiatives
- Primarily office-based with occasional field work in manufacturing areas
- May require lifting up to 25 lbs and use of personal protective equipment in designated areas
- Exposure to ambient temperatures, standard office lighting, and equipment
- Occasional walking, standing, and reaching throughout the workday
