About the Role
As the Assistant Branch Manager, you'll work closely with the Branch Manager to lead daily branch operations, support team development, and ensure exceptional member service. You'll be a go-to resource for both members and staff - handling complex transactions, coaching staff, and stepping in when needed. You will also:
- Oversee daily lobby operations, including opening/closing and staff scheduling.
- Serve as a role model and coach for Financial Specialists and Consultants on cross-selling products and services.
- Step in to assist with staff coverage and resolve member issues with professionalism and care.
- Perform quality assurance reviews and assist with training and performance appraisals.
- Support members with IRA transactions and be a notary resource.
- Handle sensitive member issues and escalate concerns when necessary.
- Assist in maintaining branch equipment, ordering supplies, and ensuring the facility is tidy and operational.
- Act as Branch Manager in their absence and support multiple locations as needed.

Who We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in customer service and/or sales, preferably in a financial institution.
- Strong understanding of credit union operations, products, services, and federal/state regulations.
- Ability to multitask, coach team members, and lead with empathy and efficiency.
- Solid communication skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to problem-solving.
- Must be registered with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 (post-employment background/credit check required).
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus!
