Responsibilities

• Perform alterations on a variety of garments, including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and adjusting fit as needed
• Use sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to execute precise alterations with attention to detail
• Ensure all garments are finished to the highest quality standards before returning to customers
• Maintain an organized workspace and keep track of alteration orders for timely completion
• Assist with garment construction projects when necessary, contributing to overall store operations
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfactionRequirements
• Proven experience in sewing, garment construction, or alterations within a fashion retail environment
• Proficiency with sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques
• Strong understanding of clothing fit, fabric types, and garment repair methods
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments accurately
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Knowledge of fashion retail operations and customer expectations is a plus
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift, and work comfortably in a fast-paced setting
