Summary: Confidential, strategic member of Personnel Services serving as
liaison between Human Resources and Academic Affairs. Primary
responsibility for administering faculty and librarian personnel
processes governed by collective bargaining agreements. Supports
recruitment, onboarding, faculty affairs (appointments, reappointments,
promotion, tenure, sabbaticals), compliance, data/reporting, and special
projects to advance equitable hiring and operational effectiveness. Key
Duties: - Advise and support academic departments on faculty/librarian
Recruitment And Search Processes. - Coordinate Search Activities
postings, advertising, applicant tracking, documentation. - Deliver
training for search committees (implicit bias, equitable evaluation,
behavioral interviewing). - Process hiring documentation and coordinate
onboarding with HR and Academic Affairs. - Administer faculty personnel
actions: appointments, reappointments, promotions, tenure, sabbaticals,
resignations, retirements. - Interpret and apply collective bargaining
agreements; support peer evaluation and tenure processes. - Maintain and
track faculty/adjoin salary data; prepare adjunct contracts and payroll
documents. - Monitor compliance, maintain personnel records, and support
audit readiness. - Use HRIS and ATS to compile workforce data; generate
reports and analyses. - Assist with immigration/visa processes; liaise
with legal counsel as needed. - Lead/support special projects and
continuous improvement initiatives. - Provide cross-functional HR
support and customer service for inquiries. Minimum Qualifications: -
3?5 years progressively responsible HR or related experience. -
Experience interpreting/applying policies, procedures, or contractual
agreements. - Strong organizational, written/verbal communication,
analytical, and technical skills. - Experience with HR systems and data
reporting tools. - Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound
judgment, and work independently and collaboratively. - Commitment to
diversity, equity, and inclusion. Preferred Qualifications: - Master?s
degree in related field. - Experience in higher education, faculty
affairs/academic HR. - Experience in unionized settings and interpreting
collective bargaining agreements (MSCA preferred). - HR certification
(SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR). - Project management/process improvement
experience. - Experience with immigration processes. -
Bilingual/multilingual skills (e.g., English/Spanish). - Demonstrated
