FSU Undergraduate Thanksgiving Resident Assistant (Trust)

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Meet all expectations outlined in your current Position Description at the time you accepted and content covered in all training.
• Serve in a 24-hour on-call rotation with other Thanksgiving Break staff for the break period. During times when you are on call, you will carry a duty phone and you must be able to respond within 15 minutes of being called.
• Respond to student concerns and inappropriate behavior.
• Assist the professional staff with administrative duties and tasks (i.e. maintenance issues, functional assignments, closing/opening procedures, and facilities walk-throughs etc.).

Duty Breakdown

• One Break student staff will always be on Duty.
• This is when a student staff member is holding the duty phone.
• The Break phone will be held 24/7 during break periods (however long the defined duration of the break).
• Average Break Duty shifts are on a 1-day or 24-hour set basis split among Break student staff.
• When on Duty, you need to be able to respond to a call anywhere on campus within 15-minutes. Typical calls include lock outs, fire alarms, facilities issues, item retrieval with non-break resident.
• Conducting regular rounds of all campus residence halls during your primary days on duty.

At the time of the break period, you must currently be in a student staff live-in position (LRA, RA) for the Department of Housing & Residential Services.

This is a part-time, non-benefited, student only position from 4:00p.m.Tuesday, November 25, 2025 through 8:00p.m. on Sunday, November 30, 2025. Hours vary. Total stipend for this role is $200, split evenly among hired staff.
