GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The Area Coordinator (AC) is a 12 -month
live-in staff member responsible for all facets of the Housing and
Residential Services program for their assigned residential area. The AC
serves as a front-line responder in on-campus emergency situations and
is required to work daytime, on-duty, and non-traditional hours
including nights, weekends and break periods. The AC is responsible for
directly supervising, training, developing, and evaluating assistant
resident director, and resident assistants. The primary goal of the
position is to establish a cohesive and inclusive residential community
utilizing diversity and social justice practices to promote student

bargaining unit with a union title of Staff Assistant. The starting
salary range is \$50,000 to \$54,000 commensurate with education and
experience. This position is live on and includes an apartment, with
utilities and internet. A meal plan while classes are in session during
the academic year. This position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.
