ABOUT FIT | STRENGTH PERFORMANCE
FIT | STRENGTH Performance is a Sports Performance Training Facility located in Fairport, NY.
We help middle school, high school, college, and adult athletes become stronger, faster, more explosive, and more resilient through evidence-based training.
We're looking for a coach who is passionate about strength and conditioning, loves working with athletes, enjoys program design, is always learning ways to get better, and wants to help build something bigger than themselves.
This is not simply a coaching position.
This is an opportunity to become a key leader within a growing sports performance company.
For the right person, this role will develop into a Lead Coach and Performance Director position as the business continues to grow.

RESPONSIBILITIESCoaching
- Lead small-group training sessions for athletes
- Deliver high-energy, high-quality coaching
- Build strong relationships with athletes and families
- Ensure athletes receive a professional training experience
Program Design & Athlete Development
- Assist with creating and revising training programs
- Help manage athlete training progressions
- Evaluate training effectiveness and athlete outcomes
- Make programming recommendations based on athlete needs
- Support annual planning and program development
Testing & Data Collection
- Conduct athlete assessments and performance testing
- Collect and organize athlete performance data
- Analyze trends and identify opportunities for improvement
- Help coaches make data-driven training decisions
- Utilize technology such as speed timing systems, jump testing, and velocity-based training
Leadership & Operations
- Support coaching staff and daily operations
- Help improve systems and coaching standards
- Participate in staff education and development
- Assist with onboarding and mentoring future coaches
- Contribute ideas that improve athlete results and business growth
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field preferred
- Current certification (CSCS preferred)
- Minimum 1 year coaching experience
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to coach athletes in a small-group environment
