Commercial Construction Project Manager
Location: Mobile, AL
Salary: $110,000–$130,000 DOE Annual Bonus Profit Sharing
Fit Recruiting is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager for an established general contractor in Mobile, Alabama. This is an in-office position offering a strong compensation package and long-term growth opportunity.
We are looking for a Project Manager with a strong background in general contracting who can successfully manage commercial construction projects from start to finish. Experience with retail and ground-up construction projects is highly preferred.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of commercial construction projects
- Oversee project schedules, RFIs, budgets, cost control and documentation
- Prepare bid packages and subcontractor scopes of work
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, materials and field operations
- Lead project meetings and maintain communication with clients and project teams
- Monitor project progress, schedules and actual vs. estimated costs
- Participate in project buyout, contract negotiations and closeout
- Manage multiple projects concurrently
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors and internal teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Building Science, Engineering or a related field
- 4–6 years of progressive commercial construction project management experience
- General contractor (GC) experience required
- Retail and/or ground-up commercial construction experience highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors and deadlines
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Procore, Sage, Bluebeam and MS Project
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Compensation & Benefits
- $110,000–$130,000 salary, depending on experience
