The Member Assistant are driven individuals focused on building long-term, value-based member relationships that enable achievement of acquisition and retention goals. The Member Assistant creates, maintains Membership information to deliver results at or above company expectations.
The Membership Assistant is responsible for assisting with administrative and sales support tasks relating to Membership. In the absence of Membership Director, the Membership Assistant meets with prospects, obtain information, answers question and gives club tours.
This position plays a key role in the daily interaction and direction of all Cub members/Vendors/staff. All tasks and assignments encompassing this position are to be performed in aim of achieving all Departmental/Club operational objectives at the highest level in support of the vision of Fisher Island Club.

Job Summary

Primary Responsibilities
Two years of college preferred. Requires three years of previous related administrative experience.
Working Conditions
Inside/outside office; extended periods of walking/standing/sitting are required.

- Answer telephones, return calls and reply to correspondences and faxes in a timely and professional manner.
- Responds to inquiries via email, phone, or in person to support daily operations.
- Assist with members’ inquiries and provides information and direction to appropriate departments.
- Schedule appointments and take messages for follow through.
- Connects with Member Relations Manager to maintain accurate records and files and orders office supplies as needed.
- Manage paper and electronic office files and office supplies.
- Creates, maintains, and updates the membership files
- Adheres to strict confidentiality concerning all Club related matters
- Communicates with co-workers, management, members, guests, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Conforms with and abide by all regulations, policies, safety rules and guidelines, work procedures, and instructions.
- Must be professional, have the ability to maintain confidential information.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Outlook with accurate typing abilities.
- Effective use of time and efficient multi-tasker; flexible in work habits and work schedule.
