The individual will be responsible for servicing and maintaining equipment daily. This position does require travel to Jacumba.PRIMARY DUTIESOperate equipment efficiently to maintain production goalsAssist with setup and tear down of plantsPerform general maintenance, repair, and service equipment as required or directed by supervisorGeneral housekeeping of equipment and plants daily or as directed by supervisorIndividuals must be able to lift objects weighing 80 lb. on a regular basisThe use of a shovel to move material will be necessaryPerform all duties within safety guidelines set up by M.S.H.A. and company policyPerform pre-shift inspections on equipment prior to startupSafety, Safety, Safety - comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards of safetyPerform other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTSApplicants must be at least 18 years oldHigh School Diploma or EquivalentAble to operate equipment efficiently to maintain project specificationsMechanical knowledge of equipment and being able to perform routine maintenanceBasic knowledge of welding and using a cutting torchAcceptable MVR in accordance with Fisher's Company Vehicle Program policy is requiredMSHA part 46 and/or part 48 or willingness to obtain certification - company will pay for certificationAbility to complete work tasks under various adverse weather conditions including heat above 100 degrees, cold, rain, and snowAbility to pass a pre-employment drug test is requiredWork well in a team environmentTravel will be requiredFisher Industries is an Equal Opportunity Employer.We are a drug-free work environment requiring pre-employment and random drug testing.
