What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Person-Sewing position at Fisher Athletic Equipment?
Job Summary:
Service/sewing department associate will move around the warehouse on a constant basis and will be in charge of running materials to and from different departments located within the warehouse. One of the primary tasks of a service runner is to assist the sewing room in making sure the sewers have the necessary materials they need to continue working at a steady pace to ensure productivity. The service associate must be able to multitask and be okay with being thrown from task to task as necessary. Other tasks include keeping shelves organized and helping to turn products for the next stage of production. A service associate is also encouraged to want to learn in the sewing room to be able to assist if needed, such as running a sewing machine and a bartack machine. A successful service/sewing department associate must be dependable, responsible, detail oriented, thorough, and takes pride in their work.
Essential Job Duties:
The Service Associate is responsible for, but not limited to:
- Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area.
- Running a bartack and sewing machine
- Keeping shelves organized
- More throughout warehouse to transport materials from one department to another
- Turing products
- Keeping sewing stations stocked
- Bringing new job material to sewers

Service Associate Qualifications/Skills:
- Being able to perform repetitive tasks
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong sense of time organization and urgency with high attention to detail
- Must be able to read work orders
- Be able to read a tape measure and understand measurements
- Able to work independently and within a team
