What You'll Do
As our HVAC Quality Control Specialist, you'll inspect every installation after completion to ensure our customers receive a safe, code-compliant, and high-quality system.
Responsibilities
- Perform post-install quality inspections on residential HVAC installations.
- Verify all work complies with Arizona Mechanical Code and local jurisdiction requirements.
- Ensure every installation is permit-inspection ready.
- Identify workmanship issues and document deficiencies.
- Create punch lists and work with install teams to ensure corrections are completed.
- Inspect ductwork, electrical, refrigeration, gas piping, venting, condensate drains, airflow, equipment placement, clearances, and overall craftsmanship.
- Verify equipment startup documentation and manufacturer installation requirements have been followed.
- Ensure installers are following Fiscor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Take detailed photos and complete inspection reports.
- Coach and mentor installation teams to continually improve workmanship.
- Work closely with Production, Install Managers, and Service to identify recurring issues and implement solutions.
- Help reduce warranty callbacks and improve customer satisfaction.
- Occasionally perform final customer walkthroughs to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Maintain a positive, solutions-oriented attitude while holding the team accountable to our standards.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of residential HVAC installation experience
- Strong understanding of residential mechanical codes
- Knowledge of permitting and inspection requirements
- Experience reading installation manuals and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to provide constructive coaching
- EPA Certification
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- NATE Certification preferred (not required)
