Job Summary:
The Weekend Dishwasher will play an essential role in ensuring that all kitchen and dining utensils, equipment, and surfaces are clean and sanitized for a seamless culinary education experience. This part time position is vital for maintaining the hygiene and functionality of our culinary facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Ensure that all dishes and utensils are free from food particles and properly sanitized.
- Maintain cleanliness in the dishwashing area and throughout the kitchen, including sweeping and mopping floors as needed.
- Assist in organizing clean dishes and utensils and ensuring that items are properly stored.
- Help with other kitchen tasks as directed by supervisors, including food prep support or basic cleaning duties.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the kitchen manager.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
- Ability to work flexible hours on weekends, including early mornings/late evenings as needed.
