The Role
As a Delivery Driver, you will help make sure customers have a positive experience from the moment their merchandise leaves our facility through delivery and setup in their homes.
You’ll operate company vehicles, transport furniture and appliances, complete in-home deliveries and setups, and interact directly with customers. When delivery work allows, you may also assist with warehouse tasks, merchandise transfers, or showroom setup.
Primary Duties
- Drive company delivery vehicles safely and responsibly
- Load and unload furniture and other merchandise
- Transport and set up products inside customers’ homes
- Safely lift and move items weighing up to 75 pounds
- Provide courteous and professional service during each customer interaction
- Move merchandise between Fischer Furniture locations
- Help with warehouse responsibilities and showroom setup as needed
What We’re Looking For
Successful candidates should have:
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- No CDL requirement — a CDL is not needed for this position
- The ability to safely lift and handle merchandise weighing up to 75 pounds
- Good communication and customer service abilities
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- A dependable work ethic with a strong focus on safety

Schedule Details
Delivery Driver schedules generally consist of 8-hour shifts or longer.
Please note:
- Saturday availability is required
- Employees receive two days off each week, including Sunday
- Fischer Furniture is closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day
Where You’ll Work
Delivery Drivers are based at our Rapid City stores and warehouse facilities. Delivery routes can extend within a 150-mile radius of Rapid City.
