Job Overview: The Recreation Aid provides a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for residents and guests visiting the pool by providing friendly customer service and enforcing outdoor pool policies.
Compensation: $14.70 per hour, based on experience FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Your Responsibilities: - Respond to member and guest questions, requests and concerns
- Pick up trash and clean public swimming pools, restrooms and facility areas
- Assist with set up and breakdown for poolside activities as needed
- Monitor and enforce outdoor pool policies; prohibit violations in a positive manner
- Report any unsafe or inappropriate situations to a supervisor
Skills and Qualifications: - Able to communicate positively and effectively with team members and supervisors about job tasks and responsibilities
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build relationships
- Must be self-motivated, follow direction and able to work independently with little supervision
- Must be able to consistently achieve high work standards; attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness is expected
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement is expected
Education and Experience: - High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- One to three months of related experience preferred
Physical Requirements: - Physically able to work outdoors for extended periods of time, performing activities such as bending, lifting, and stretching on a daily basis
- Able to lift up to 45 pounds
- Comfortable working in a moderate level of noise
- Able to work near water while following all safety procedures and protocols

Work Hours: Shifts vary, must have weekend availability
