Job Overview: As the HOA Community Events Manager, you will serve as a manager and director for resident programs by creating and promoting recreational and social events to enhance the quality of life and community engagements of our residents. The ideal candidate will have prior HOA and events experience. Compensation: $60-65k annually, depending on experience FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Your Responsibilities:- Plan and execute regular community-wide signature events, outdoor movie nights and family-friendly activities throughout the year
- Develop budgets for community programs and events
- Build relationships with local businesses and organizations to develop community partnerships and sponsorship
- Develop and implement a diverse calendar of social, recreational, and cultural events, including holiday celebrations, health and wellness programs, and educational seminars
- Oversee the programming and scheduling of all Community facilities, amenities and parks
- Assist with booking and monitoring resident club and facility rentals
- Assist members, club and community organizations in the scheduling of community facilities
- Create and promote the community newsletter, public relations and marketing publications as assigned
- Develop and promote an active volunteer program among residents
- Coordinate the collection of fees as applicable
- Return all phone calls regarding amenity and event inquiries within 24 hours
- Strong multitasking skills to handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously and prioritize them according to their level of importance
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines consistently
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with clients, vendors and team members
- Knowledge of appropriate licensing needed for public and semi-public events (music and movie)
- Utilization of ticket sales systems and payment processing systems
- Degree in recreation, hospitality or communication field (preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in coordinating and promoting activities and events (required)
- Walk and move throughout the community common areas and facilities
- Sit and stand for moderate periods of time
- Sit at a desk using a computer in an office setting
- Able to safely life/ move up to 50 pounds
