Senior Project Accountant | Lancaster, PA | $85K–$90K
Growing company hiring a Project Accountant to support multiple ongoing accounting projects. Excellent role to be a true financial partner to Project Managers and Operations teams. Own accounting projects throughout their lifecycle; project setup, funding, contract edits, labor and expense, billing, revenue recognition, reconciliations, and project profitability.
Responsibilities: Senior Project Accountant
- Partner with Project Managers, Operations, Contracts, and Accounting
- Review change orders, funding and contracts
- Track project budgets vs. actuals, remaining funding, labor utilization, and profitability
- Support revenue recognition, including WIP and accrued revenue
- Prepare journal entries and reconciliations
- Support monthly close related to project accounting, revenue, billing, labor
- Prepare financial analysis and forecasts
- Support system improvements and implementations
- Assist with internal and external audit requests
Required Experience: Project Senior Accountant
- 5 years of relevant project accounting
- Demonstrated experience managing accounting/financial administration of multiple projects
- Understanding project accounting, including revenue recognition, WIP, accrued revenue, and project profitability
- Experience with project setup, billing, invoicing, labor charging, and reconciliations
