Manager of Cost Accounting - Up to $165k
Our client, a well established manufacturing company at the forefront of automation technology, is looking to hire a Cost Accounting Manager. This role is highly visible for a family-owned company with a nationwide reputation and global impact! The ideal candidate has manufacturing accounting experience, supervisory experience and their CPA.
Description:
- Lead all cost accounting operations, including standard/job order costing, variance analysis, and pricing updates
- Manage a small team of cost accountants, offering coaching, mentorship, and development
- Partner with production, procurement, and supply chain teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and inventory valuation
- Analyze cost structures, monitor trends, and present insights to leadership for decision-making
- Ensure the accuracy and compliance of cost data with internal controls and GAAP standards
- Support internal and external audits with detailed reporting and documentation
- Help build and refine the cost accounting function with a continuous improvement mindset
Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA required
- 7 years of experience in cost accounting, with 5 years in manufacturing preferred
- Management or team leadership experience strongly preferred—though we’re open to rising stars with CPA industry expertise
Salary : $145,000 - $165,000
