Controller - Hotel/Hospitality required!

Controller – Hospitality Industry - Up to $130k

Our client, a growing hospitality management and development organization, is hiring a hands-on Controller to oversee accounting and financial operations across a portfolio of 15 hotel properties. This individual will manage accounting for multiple legal entities, partner closely with executive leadership and an outside accounting firm, and ensure accurate financial reporting across the organization. This is a highly hands-on position with no direct reports initially. Strong Senior Accountants with relevant hotel industry experience will also be considered. ***100% Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations across 15 hotel properties and separate legal entities.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare and consolidate financial statements, including P&L reporting and balance sheets.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and expense allocations.
• Coordinate federal, state, and local tax preparation and filings in partnership with external accounting professionals.
• Assist with hotel acquisitions, loan payoffs, and other financial transactions.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reporting for executive leadership.
• Ensure compliance with hospitality accounting standards, internal controls, and reporting requirements.
• Partner with property management teams and outside accountants to maintain accurate financial records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Hotel industry accounting experience required, preferably across multiple properties.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting and consolidated financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of hospitality accounting practices and financial operations.
• Food and beverage accounting experience is a plus.
