Senior Software Engineer / Team Lead
About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on technical leader to own the direction of a core engineering domain. You’ll set architecture and standards, write production code, and lead a small team while partnering with product and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Own technical direction, including architecture, standards, and prioritization.
- Write and review production code.
- Lead and grow engineers through one-on-ones and mentoring.
- Break large problems into incremental deliverables and plan legacy system migrations without disrupting the business.
- Raise the bar on testing, code review, observability, and documentation.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in PHP and working knowledge of C#; Laravel or .NET experience a plus.
- Strong object-oriented programming and design skills.
- Strong relational database skills, including SQL Server tuning, indexing, and data modeling.
- Experience with domain-driven design, API design and versioning, and migrating off legacy systems.
- Experience with automated testing and continuous integration, modern JavaScript/TypeScript, and cloud (AWS preferred).
- Substantial experience building and operating production software, plus team leadership experience (some direct management expected).
Salary : $115,000 - $120,000
