Position: Interior Architect
Location: Fairhope, Alabama
About the Role
FirstFour staffing is looking for a talented and experienced Interior Architect to join our client, an award-winning architecture firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Embody and uphold our core values in all aspects of work
- Develop strong design concepts and create initial presentations that guide projects from vision to completion
- Lead programming and space planning efforts to meet client goals and project requirements
- Design cohesive interior environments that integrate architecture, interiors, and landscape elements
- Select and specify furnishings, finishes, materials, fixtures, and artwork
- Manage day-to-day project coordination, timelines, and team workflow
- Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and internal teams
- Oversee construction administration, including submittals, finish reviews, and value engineering while maintaining design intent
- Coordinate purchasing, procurement, and installation processes
- Mentor and support junior designers through task delegation and professional guidance
- Utilize and grow proficiency in tools such as Vector works, Google Workspace, and Adobe Creative Suite
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related field from a CIDA-accredited program
- 7 years of relevant design experience
- Licensure as a Registered Architect or Interior Designer is a plus
- NCIDQ certification is a plus
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D design software (AutoCAD, Vector works, SketchUp preferred)
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop)
- Strong knowledge of furniture, materials, finishes, and specifications
- Experience across all project phases, from concept through construction
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Strong communication skills with clients, consultants, and stakeholders
- Experience leading project teams and coordinating with architects across various project types (high-end residential to large-scale commercial)
