We are looking for a Network Operations Center (NOC) Manager to oversee the daily operations of the NOC to ensure the stability and performance of the organization's network infrastructure. This role involves leading a team of engineers and technicians, managing incidents, monitoring network performance, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and security best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
- Supervise, mentor, and develop NOC staff, including engineers and technicians.
- Create and implement training programs to enhance team skills.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to support employee growth.
Network Monitoring & Incident Management:
- Manage 24/7 network monitoring for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Respond to network alerts, troubleshoot incidents, and escalate as needed for prompt resolution.
- Develop and refine incident response and escalation procedures.
Operational Oversight:
- Ensure adequate staffing and shift coverage to maintain continuous NOC operations.
- Enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for network management.
- Oversee network maintenance activities, including system upgrades and configuration changes.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track and analyze network performance metrics, preparing regular reports on network health and incident resolution times.
- Identify trends, potential issues, and areas for network optimization.
- Provide recommendations for network improvements and capacity planning.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve network issues and implement improvements.
- Ensure timely communication and follow-up on network-related tickets.
- Report to executive management on network status, incidents, and strategic initiatives.
- Act as a liaison between the NOC and other departments, such as Technical Support and Field Operations.
Compliance & Security:
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations and company policies.
- Implement and enforce network security measures to protect against cyber threats.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to maintain network integrity and data protection.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 4 years of experience in network operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, hardware, and software.
- Proficiency with network monitoring tools and incident management systems.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network ) are preferred.
