POSITION OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking an experienced Controls Helper to join our fast-growing team. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and strong problem-solving skills, as well as a high level of customer service.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support senior installers and technicians with system layout, assembly, and HVAC controls integration
- Pull wire, mount devices, and perform basic terminations under supervision
- Assist with testing, startup, troubleshooting, and verification of system functionality
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in a clean, organized, and safe manner
- Follow all safety standards, company policies, and industry regulations while on job sites
- Document work performed and provide updates to supervisors as required
- Learn and apply basic concepts related to building automation systems (BAS) and HVAC controls
- Assist in ensuring installations meet quality standards, project specifications, and timelines
- Coordinate effectively with team members and other trades on active job sites
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the operations and installation team

ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT
This position is reported directly to the Senior Director of Controls and Building Automation.
Qualifications:QUALIFICATIONS
- 0–2 years of experience in HVAC, electrical, or controls installation; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply
- Basic knowledge of electrical wiring, hand tools, power tools, and job site safety practices
- Ability to read and interpret basic diagrams, schematics, and blueprints is a plus
- Willingness to learn building automation systems (BAS) and HVAC controls
- Strong work ethic with the ability to follow directions and work collaboratively as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials, tools, and equipment as required
- Commitment to safety, reliability, and continuous learning

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
