First United Methodist Church Montgomery is seeking a Director of Children's Ministry to provide vision, leadership, and oversight for our ministry to children and families. This is a full-time ministry leadership position responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive Children's Ministry. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated professional experience in church ministry. This is not a childcare position.
We’re looking for someone faithful, creative, relational, organized, and passionate about helping children experience God's love. Our Director of Children's Ministry will build relationships with children and families, create engaging opportunities for faith formation, and recruit and encourage volunteers. They’ll also work alongside clergy, staff, parents, and the wider church to create a welcoming community where every child can say, “I belong here.”

Preferred Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in student or children's ministry, church ministry, or comparable faith-based leadership.
- Demonstrates experience leading and program development
- Experience recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers
- Strong communication and organizational skills
