Status: Part Time; At Will

Job Summary
A Childcare Provider at First United Methodist Church is responsible for providing a comfortable, safe, nurturing, and educational environment for young children during church events.
Essential Functions:
- Being present at designated times for providing care on Sunday mornings and during other events.
- Following all appropriate procedures for safety.
- Engage children and their parents/grandparents/responsible adults with warmth, care, and professionalism.
- Participate in ensuring the ongoing cleanliness of the space in which you are working.
- Reporting any needs or concerns to immediate supervisor or the Directing Pastor.
Other Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all background check and ongoing training requirements.
- Preferred First Aid and CPR training/certification for infants and children
- Preferred SIDS training
- Communicate in advance for time off or as soon as possible in the event of illness or last minute emergency resulting in the inability to be present for work.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prefer prior experience in caring for/working with children.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift/move as needed for child safety and care.
