POSITION SUMMARY: The Field Install Service Supervisor is responsible for leading and supporting garage door installation technicians and service teams in the field. This role ensures safe, timely, and high-quality installations, repairs, and maintenance of garage doors at residential and commercial job sites. The Supervisor is a hands-on leader, providing guidance, troubleshooting expertise, quality assurance, and customer support to ensure complete satisfaction and team performance.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Supervise and support daily field operations for installation and service technicians.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to company standards.
  • Serve as an escalation point for technical challenges, complex installations, or customer concerns.
  • Train and mentor new and existing technicians on installation procedures, safety practices, and customer service.
  • Audit installations and service calls for quality assurance and corrective action when needed.
  • Coordinate with scheduling, warehouse, and customer service teams to ensure timely and complete job execution.
  • Ensure all field staff comply with OSHA safety standards and company policies.
  • Maintain an accurate record of job progress, delays, warranty claims, and technician performance.
  • Manage tools, equipment, and materials inventory assigned to crews.
  • Assist in hiring, coaching, and performance evaluations of field staff.
  • Lead daily or weekly team huddles to review priorities, safety topics, and goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED required; trade or technical training preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in garage door installation and service.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory or team lead experience.
  • Strong knowledge of overhead door installation methods, tools, and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, technical drawings, and job specs.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in using mobile devices, apps, or tablets for reporting and dispatching.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs., climb ladders, and work outdoors in varying conditions.

Working Conditions:

  • Regular travel to job sites within assigned territory.
  • Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, exposed to weather and construction conditions.
  • On-call or extended hours may be required to meet customer demands.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.13 per hour
