Pharmacist in Charge

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist in Charge to oversee pharmacy operations and ensure the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in various pharmacy settings, including Retail, and some knowledge in LTC and Specialty and/or Infusion would be a big plus. This role requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to patient service, and the ability to manage pharmacy staff effectively while adhering to all regulatory requirements. Base Pay plus performance bonus for the right PIC especially with Specialty and Infusion Experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.
• Provide clinical pharmacy services, including patient assessments and medication management.
• Manage inventory effectively, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining stock levels.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care outcomes.
• Conduct immunization programs and provide education on medication administration.
• Train and mentor pharmacy technicians and other staff members.
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to pharmacy services.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of Retail, LTC, Specialty and Infusion practices and regulations.
• Experience working with Specialty Infusion Services.
• Familiarity with pharmacy software systems (desired Pioneer and Caretend) a big plus for efficient workflow management.
• Proficient in clinical pharmacy practices.
• Excellent patient service skills with a focus on patient care and assessment.
• Experience with inventory management processes within a pharmacy setting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $80.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
