Pharmacist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced community pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee all retail pharmacy operations, ensuring the highest quality of pharmaceutical services and patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Supervision: Lead and supervise pharmacy staff, ensuring adherence to all company policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations.
• Pharmaceutical Services: Oversee the dispensing of medications, counseling patients on their prescriptions, providing medication therapy management (MTM), and ensuring patient safety. Provide pharmaceutical care by reviewing and interpreting physician orders. Implement utilization management strategies to optimize patient outcomes.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal and state pharmacy laws, including proper medication storage, record-keeping, and drug dispensation protocols.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory to ensure that the pharmacy is stocked with necessary medications and supplies, while also minimizing waste and shortages.
• Training & Development: Mentor and train pharmacy staff, including pharmacy technicians and interns, on best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and ensure the optimal use of medications.
• Quality Assurance: Oversee the preparation, dispensation, and verification of medications to ensure accuracy and safety.
• Patient Education: Provide patients with counseling on their medications, potential side effects, drug interactions, and lifestyle recommendations.

Experience:

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution
• Active pharmacist license in good standing
• Experience with Pioneerrx is a big plus
