Responsibilities
- The ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management
- Deliver engaging lessons focused on literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning tailored to 3-year-olds’ developmental stages
- Collaborate with families to communicate children’s progress and address individual needs related to special education or early intervention programs
- Manage classroom routines efficiently while maintaining high standards of childcare and classroom management
- Incorporate best practices in childhood development, and behavior management to foster a nurturing atmosphere
- Utilize assessment tools such as standardized testing and formative evaluations to monitor student progress and inform instruction
- Flexibility in the hours and schedule of work. Center hours are M-F 6:30 am to 6:00 pm.
Experience
- Prior experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom setting is essential
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including Montessori methods and literacy education strategies
- Experience supporting children with special needs or participating in early intervention programs is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and specialists
- Familiarity with childcare regulations, daycare standards, and private school environments
- Proven ability to implement behavior management strategies that promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being
