Duties
- Supervise and care for children in a safe, clean, and stimulating environment, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being at all times
- Implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills in line with developmental milestones
- Assist with feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene routines for infants and toddlers
- Support children with disabilities or special needs by adapting activities and providing personalized care
- Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and daily experiences
- Enforce behavior management strategies to promote positive conduct and conflict resolution among children
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including first aid procedures and emergency response plans
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or classroom settings
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Ability to perform first aid and CPR confidently to handle emergencies effectively
- Experience caring for infants and toddlers with patience, compassion, and attention to detail
- Skilled in behavior management techniques to foster positive behavior and social interactions
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with parents, colleagues, and children effectively
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities to support inclusive care environments
