Responsibilities

• Monitor student progress through regular assessments, standardized testing, and performance data analysis to tailor instruction effectively.
• Incorporate educational technology tools and learning technology platforms to enhance lesson delivery and student engagement.
• Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management strategies to foster a respectful and productive learning space.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists—including special education teachers and speech therapists—to support individual student needs.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress reports, and compliance with educational regulations.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to students, including tutoring sessions for literacy, math, or other subject areas as needed.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate children with diverse needs such as autism or those requiring early intervention services.
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to curriculum development, classroom management, and educational best practices.

Skills

• Proven experience teaching young children in a classroom setting with strong classroom management skills.
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles and childhood education best practices.
• Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and integrating educational technology into lessons.
• Experience working with children with special needs or those requiring early intervention services.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to various learning styles and individual student needs.
• Strong understanding of educational compliance standards, standardized testing procedures, and assessment techniques.
• Skills in behavior management techniques that promote positive classroom environments.
• Experience working with diverse populations including children with autism or other developmental differences.
• Familiarity with library services or resources that support literacy education and student research skills.
