Job Title: Assistant Controller

Reporting Relationships: CFO, President
Type of Position: Full time; Hours 8:00 AM -5:00 PM M-F; Occasional evening/weekend work may be required – Some travel may be required
General Summary
This position requires an emphasis on confidentiality and accuracy. The Assistant Controller performs a variety of accounting duties for the internal accounts of the bank. This role ensures accurate books and records, timely financial statements, strong control environments, and effective coordination with auditors, regulators, and bank management. and will perform regulatory reporting and audits. This position has the potential to be fast tracked into a supervision position within the first six months to one year.

- General Ledger Maintenance
- Application Balancing to GL
- Bond Accounting/GL Reconciliation
- Regulatory Reporting
- Preparation of Financial Reports
- Prepaid & Fixed Asset Accounting
- Payables/Receivables Accounting
- Miscellaneous Account Balancing/Reconciliation
- Internal Controls & Risk Management
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis

Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in accounting, business management or related field, or 2 years’ experience in related field preferred
- Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word)
- Knowledge of Accounting Principles
- Good Verbal & Written Communication Skills
- Good Problem-Solving Abilities
- Community bank experience is highly valued.
