Requirements:
· Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable experience (1 year a must)
· Proficient with Microsoft Office products and experience using accounting software
· Understanding of basic accounting journal entries
· Excellent typing, data entry, and communication skills
· Attention to detail
· Excellent follow-up skills
· Enjoy working in a team environment
· Self-starter/Independent
· Transportation and intermodal knowledge beneficial, but not required
· Experience in a high transaction volume environment is a plus and strongly preferred, but not required
Responsibilities:
As a member of the Billing Department, you will be part of a team ensuring that all revenue earned is billed to the customer and relevant vendors that have completed the work are paid the proper amount based on the agreed upon terms. In order to accomplish this, your primary responsibilities will be to:
· Understand and troubleshoot the billing process, noting various steps in which may delay or impact the amount of an invoice issuance or payment
· Detail review of documents for completeness and accuracy
· Timely processing of documents as required; filing, scanning, uploading and processing
· Handle occasional incoming calls professionally from agents, vendors, and others
· Monitor and respond, in a timely manner, to multiple email accounts
· Follow-up with agents, vendors and others as needed
· Meet deadlines weekly to ensure all accounts are accurate
· Other duties as assigned
