Position Summary
The Loan Support position provides assigned lender(s) with partnership-style support and assistance in all lending, business development, and other assigned or appropriate initiatives and responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Interview applicants and complete loan applications for consideration by approving authorities.
- Assist assigned lender(s) in developing relationships, selling products, delivering superior customer service, managing assigned portfolios, minimizing risks, and pursuing all performance goals and objectives.
- Analyze financial data to forecast borrower success and loan profitability.
- Know and apply the bank’s underwriting guidelines consistently and in compliance with applicable banking laws, rules, regulations, and policies.
- Accept and process loan requests promptly, using approved technology to optimum advantage and complying with applicable banking laws, rules, regulations, and policies.
- Arrange and facilitate the timely and accurate closing of new loans and servicing existing loans.
- Know the bank’s loan, deposit, and other product and service offerings and effectively explain them to prospects.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Two to four years in a lending and/or business development environment or equivalent is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, service, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential data professionally and ethically.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks at once.
- Dependable and a self-starter.
- Proficient level of computer competency.
- Ability to quickly learn and assimilate information.
