Required Technical Skills
- 7 years of hands-on SQL Server DBA experience.
- Strong experience with SQL Server 2016, 2019, and 2022.
- Expertise in T-SQL, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Always On Availability Groups, clustering, backup, and recovery.
- Knowledge of Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting, SQL Server Agent, and automation.
- Strong understanding of database security, migrations, upgrades, and monitoring.
- Install, configure, administer, and maintain SQL Server databases.
- Ensure database availability, reliability, security, and optimal performance.
- Implement and manage high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
- Perform database upgrades, migrations, patching, and capacity planning.
- Troubleshoot critical database issues and provide production support.
- Collaborate with application developers, infrastructure, and security teams.
- Maintain database documentation and compliance standards.
- Monitor SQL Server health, database performance, storage, and resource utilization.
- Review backup jobs, SQL Server Agent jobs, and database alerts.
- Troubleshoot blocking, deadlocks, slow queries, and connectivity issues.
- Perform index maintenance, statistics updates, and query tuning.
- Monitor Always On replication, failover readiness, and database availability.
- Manage user permissions, security access, and database changes.
- Execute routine maintenance, patching, and automation tasks.
- Respond to production incidents and support scheduled deployments.
- Document daily activities, incidents, and database performance improvements.
