Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in new construction projects, remodels, and existing buildings using hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading equipment.
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts.
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, plumbing building codes, safety regulations, and mechanical standards.
- Perform pipe installation including gas piping systems, pipe threading, and fitting connections while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing systems to prevent issues and extend system longevity.
- Collaborate with construction teams, carpenters, HVAC technicians, and field service personnel to coordinate work efficiently on-site.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including schematics updates and inspection reports.
Qualifications
- Proven construction site experience with a strong background in residential and commercial plumbing projects.
- Valid Journeyman Plumber license or equivalent certification demonstrating mastery of plumbing skills.
- Skilled in welding techniques and familiar with building code compliance related to plumbing installations.
- Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and gas piping systems.
- Knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA standards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems is a plus; experience with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) is highly valued.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and utilize carpentry skills when necessary for remodeling or custom installations.
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members alike.
