Job Summary
We are seeking a nurturing, dependable, and enthusiastic Early Childhood Preschool Lead to join our caring and collaborative team for the 2026-2027 School Year(August-May). This position is for a Lead Teacher in a preschool classroom environment. They will work with their co-teacher(s) to create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate space for young children to grow and thrive as they prepare to enter Kindergarten.
We are looking for someone passionate about early childhood education, who understands the importance of consistency and is eager to contribute to the growth and learning of each child. This role is ideal for individuals interested in early education careers and committed to supporting a year-long classroom community.
Responsibilities
- Implementing daily routines and classroom activities.
- Supervise children to ensure a safe and secure learning environment at all times.
- Assist with classroom management and behavior guidance in a positive, respectful manner.
- Help with arrival and dismissal of students, ensuring smooth and calm transitions.
- Assist during snack, lunch, and nap time to maintain order and cleanliness.
- Aid in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
- Provide individual attention to children to support emotional and developmental needs.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with staff, children, and families.
- Follow school policies and procedures consistently and reliably.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school events as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to commit to the full school year (August–May).
- Punctual and reliable; must be able to arrive promptly.
- Experience working with young children (professional, volunteer, or personal).
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
- A genuine passion for teaching and nurturing young minds.
- Completion of a Maltreatment and Background Check.
Preferred
- Coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.50 - $16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
