Position Summary:
Fayetteville Montessori School is seeking an experienced and dedicated Early Childhood Lead Teacher to join our team. The Lead Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate lessons, guiding classroom assistants, and creating a positive and enriching environment for children 6 weeks to 5 years old. This individual will foster independence, curiosity, and a love of learning through consistent, high-quality care and instruction.
Schedule Requirements:
Required hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Monday through Friday
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support each child’s growth and development.
Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment.
Supervise, guide, and collaborate with Assistant Teachers to ensure smooth classroom operations.
Observe and document children’s progress and communicate effectively with families.
Maintain compliance with licensing regulations and school policies.
Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Participate in ongoing professional development and staff meetings.
Qualifications:
CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a licensed early childhood or preschool setting required.
Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate practices.
Dependable, compassionate, and able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and actively engage with children at their level.
